About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented administrative support officer to join our dynamic team in Lismore. In this exciting role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient administration of program and project operations across NSW Public Works.
As a Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for delivering efficient and quality administrative services for our Lismore Office. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of fields including property and fleet management, staff training and development, administration, WHS, new starter onboarding and staff engagement.
Additionally, you will be required to provide Project Managers with administrative project support as part of your core duties.
You will be the primary site point of contact for stakeholders, contractors and suppliers, providing professional and timely responses to their enquiries and coordinating works to minimise disruptions to the office operation. Staying updated on relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, and maintaining accurate records and databases will also be essential to your role.
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- Experience managing competing demands while maintaining high attention to detail to ensure timely and efficient administrative support and office management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and responsive approach to customer service.
- Experience in business and project administration support, ideally within a government or public sector setting.
- Proven ability to provide high-quality service, respond to a wide range of enquiries, assess incoming tasks, and adjust priorities accordingly.
- Understanding of purchase to pay, financial processes, and reporting.
- Ability to learn and use multiple software systems, including Office 365, CM10, and MyWorkZone.
- Strong Ability work autonomously and within a team.
- Experienced in coordinating staff events, activities and conferences.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
