  • Salary from $82,193 to $90,001 plus super and leave loading (pro-rata for part-time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented administrative support officer to join our dynamic team in Wagga Wagga! In this exciting part-time role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient administration of program and project operations across NSW Public Works.

As a Project Support Officer, you will dive into a variety of tasks, providing support in local office and fleet management as well as areas such as staff training and development, new starter onboarding and staff engagement. Supporting Project Managers with administrative project functions will also be a key focus of your role. You will also be a friendly first point of contact for clients and suppliers, providing professional and timely responses to their enquiries. Staying updated on relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, and maintaining accurate records and databases will be essential parts of your role.

Key Challenges

  • Managing multiple administrative and project support activities within tight timeframes
  • Planning and prioritising work in a high-volume environment to meet critical deadlines
  • Adapting to changing priorities while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Desirable Capabilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience in finance management, human resources, or a related discipline
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel to and work in remote locations, including overnight stays.
