NSW Resources is seeking expressions of interest from motivated and experienced individuals to join the Strategy, Performance and Industry Development team in the role of Manager Strategy & Insights starting ASAP until 12 September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role that shapes policy and program direction across the portfolio. You’ll work closely with the Director Strategy & Performance and key stakeholders to drive strategic priorities, resolve complex issues, and influence outcomes that support the prosperity of NSW’s mineral and energy resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a small team of dedicated professionals.
- Providing strategic policy and program support to senior executives.
- Leading the development of innovative solutions to complex policy challenges.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring emerging industry issues and contribute to evidence-based policy development.
- Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
About You: You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. You’re confident navigating complex stakeholder environments and thrive on solving novel policy issues. You bring a collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to integrity and innovation.
You'll also need to be someone who can apply good judgement, creativity, and innovation to manage, analyse, research, and resolve complex policy and other issues across the mining sector. Additionally, you'll need to review and synthesize information and respond quickly to urgent requests.
