Are you a communications specialist with a knack for turning complex regulatory language into clear, engaging content? Do you understand what it takes to meet NSW Government publication standards and connect with diverse audiences?

NSW Resources are looking for a dynamic Project Officer to lead the development of public-facing communications as part of the Small-Scale Title reforms.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Draft clear, accessible, and engaging content for a range of public-facing materials
  • Apply NSW Government branding and accessibility standards to ensure clarity and inclusivity
  • Conduct content reviews to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance
  • Translate complex regulatory and policy information into engaging formats suitable for public and regulated audiences
  • Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to align messaging

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity and audience engagement
  • Proven ability to apply NSW Government publication and accessibility requirements
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and simplify complex regulatory or policy content
  • Familiarity with branding, layout, and visual communication principles
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to inclusive communication
  • A proactive communicator who can work independently and as part of a team

Other things to know about the role:

  • Compliance with pre-employment probity screening is mandatory and a condition of engagement.
  • To be considered for the full contract duration, you must have successfully completed a comparative Clerk 7/8 process and either currently hold a Clerk 7/8 position or be listed on a valid Clerk 7/8 talent pool. If you do not meet this criteria, please still apply; however, the maximum contract duration available will be 12 months.
