- Clerk Grade 11/12 – Salary from $149,739 - $173,174 per annum plus super and leave loading

About the Role
The Program Leader provides expert strategic advice and leadership to shape policies and legislation for managing NSW's marine estate, fisheries, and aquatic environment. The role involves extensive stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution to deliver complex projects and reforms, ensuring sustainable use and conservation of aquatic resources while navigating significant social and political challenges.
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in natural resource management, environmental science or public policy
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level strategic advice and lead the development of complex policy and legislative frameworks, ideally in aquatic environmental and fisheries management
- Proven ability to build relationships, conduct strategic negotiations, and resolve conflicts with diverse stakeholders on complex natural resource management issues
- Strong leadership skills with experience in analysis, strategic planning, and project management
- Comprehensive understanding of aquatic biodiversity conservation, marine estate management, and relevant environmental policies and legislation
- Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
