NSW Resources are looking for a Senior Project Officer to join their Correspondence & Briefings team.
Working as part of a small team, this role is fast paced and varied and will involve:
- Coordinating and drafting responses to complex and sensitive Ministerial and Executive requests, including briefs, correspondence, and materials for Parliament.
- Developing processes, procedures and reports and identify business improvements to support coordination of requests.
- Undertaking research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs to support informed decision-making and planning.
- Monitoring and reporting on Parliament.
- Providing support to the ministerial office on a rotational basis as a Department Liaison Officer, which can include full time on-site engagement with stakeholders in the Sydney CBD.
What you need to be successful:
First and foremost, you need a strong understanding of the procedures and processes related to Ministerial correspondence, briefings, and parliamentary material.
You’ll also need to have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
As well as this you’ll be capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritising those with critical turnaround times, and working confidently and comfortably within a dynamic and politically sensitive environment.
