About the role
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join NSW Public Works (NSWPW) within the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD).
The role is based in the Parramatta 6 Square office and is in the NSWPW Greater Sydney Region business unit. The role is predominantly office based and client-side project management. The role will usually require 3-5 days a week (average 4) to be spent either in the office, visiting construction sites or at client meetings.
The role will manage the delivery of one or more assigned infrastructure projects ranging in medium to high in size and complexity or contributes to the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects with medium-to high complexity.
The role will manage projects and project teams that deliver building or civil infrastructure projects.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- University qualifications in Building, Project Management, Architecture or Engineering are preferred. Appropriate trade, post-trade or tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management, will be considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to be successful in this position.
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of current Work Health and Safety legislation and regulations is preferred.
- Hold a current NSW Driver Licence and be willing to travel to regional and remote locations for project meetings, including overnight stays, may be necessary but not usual.
