  • 2 year Temporary Full-Time role
  • Location: Orange or Griffith
  • Attractive salary ranging from $70,694 - $131,895 plus flex + super (Professional Officer Grade 1/4)

About the Role

As a Development Officer Viticulture, your primary purpose is to collaborate with the wine industry and work within the divisions of Agriculture and Biosecurity at NSW DPI. You will support and propel the NSW Wine industry towards a more sustainable and bio secure future.

Key accountabilities but not limited to:

  • Partner with DPI researchers, other research and development organisations, government, and industry to boost competitiveness and sustainability in the wine sector
  • Lead activities in the Wine Australia Regional Program for NSW
  • Collect insights from experts, research, communities, and the private sector to shape the industry's future
  • Build strong connections with stakeholders for effective communication and goal achievement
  • Develop and share tech solutions to enhance sustainable farming practices
  • Maintain top-tier work standards as per the Professional Officer Progression Criteria scale (1-4), driving NSW Industry's success.

Essential requirements

  • Degree Qualification in Viticulture/Agricultural/Horticultural Science or other discipline relevant to the role
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel across NSW wine regions
