The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to join our team. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind capturing, analysing, and reporting on performance, influencing key decisions to enhance outcomes for our community.

About the role

As a Senior Performance Analyst, you will:

  • Work collaboratively across all DPIRD groups, gaining exposure to diverse portfolios.
  • Analyse both strategic and operational performance, providing valuable insights to stakeholders aligned with established targets.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics tailored to different functional areas within the DPIRD portfolio.
  • Offer expert advice on planning, performance, and business analysis, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Champion initiatives to streamline business processes, contributing to efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support corporate reporting and provide advice to Executive, Treasury, Premier’s Department, The Cabinet Office, and other key stakeholders.

We are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience reviewing data and performance metrics to provide advice
  • An ability to establish and maintain robust relationships with a business partnering approach
  • Experience with data and a strong ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Strong time-management skills to provide accurate reporting and advice with conflicting priorities
  • Experience working in government or large complex organisations with a focus on strategic business planning
