About the Role
A day might include helping to complete a SWMS, setting up a construction site with fences, signs & site facilities or operating a digger, dozer or dumper. You will help induct subcontractors and focus on keeping people safe regardless of the tasks you do.
You may work as part of a larger project team on a task-by task basis to deliver environmental earthworks, build walking tracks, rehabilitate rivers, construct fire access tracks, or help implement erosion & sediment controls that are specified by project plans. When offsite you will learn about planning, designing and costing works while honing your administration skills.
About Soil Conservation Service
NSW Soil Conservation Service is part of the Department of Regional NSW and supports local, state and commonwealth government agencies to build and rehabilitate the Australian environment by providing specialist end-to-end services in environmental consulting, conservation earthworks, program management, project delivery and support services.
