- Location: Various within South East LLS Region
- Administration & Clerical, Grade 5 | Salary from $ 93,295.00 plus super and leave loading (pro rata)

About the role
The Assistant Project Officer will support a small team monitoring the delivery of our Natural Heritage Trust Funded Projects by maintaining good relationships with stakeholders and contractors, monitoring progress and assisting in the collection of evidence for regular reporting.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Provide project and administrative support, including monitoring, reporting and evaluation of project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Assist teams to complete tasks and implement service delivery plans, including collating documents and records regarding relevant issues to ensure projects comply with agreed project methodologies and that agreed outcomes are achieved
- Coordinate and manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible
- Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas to improve business systems and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning
- Collate information and assist in the drafting of correspondence, Leadership Team briefings and Ministerial responses
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues
- Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating meetings and preparing papers, to support project management delivery
