  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $125,693 to $138,510 + superannuation. (Clerk Grade 9/10)

About The Opportunity

Join the $48 million Farms of the Future (FotF) initiative by the NSW Government which aims to increase the adoption of Agricultural Technologies (Agtech).  By driving productivity, market competitiveness, and improved resource management, this state-wide program fosters collaboration across government, industry, and communities.

As the Senior Project Lead Implementation, you will be responsible for leading the project operations and implementation activities in the field to ensure the programs success.  Reporting to the Program Manager, you’ll manage a team of five direct reports and oversee the delivery of education and demonstration initiatives to stakeholders.

Your day-to-day

  • Team Leadership: Manage the field implementation team to ensure the successful delivery of education, demonstration hubs, and stakeholder events.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the Program Manager to align team activities with program strategies and goals.
  • Education Delivery: Provide feedback and support for designing education tools, events, and producer training programs while managing participant satisfaction.
  • Evaluation & Data Analysis: Manage data collection and analysis to ensure quality assurance, program monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Drive on-farm adoption by integrating digital technologies into education and adoption strategies.
  • Collaboration: Partner with industry and government stakeholders to ensure agriculture's needs are reflected in digital technology standards.

To be successful in the role, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Technical knowledge and understanding of issues relevant to the application of digital agriculture
  • Experience in designing and implementing producer engagement initiatives  
  • Experience with technologies in agriculture, in particular the design of farm connectivity networks and IoT devices
  • Industry familiarity with commercial IoT platforms that support the farm monitoring, data analytics, and connectivity solutions

Essential requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Agricultural Science, Marketing and Communications, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Current NSW Driver License and the ability and willingness to travel
