North Coast Local Land Services are seeking a Senior Land Services Officer to work in a natural resources management advisory and extension program. Contribute to team strategy, manage projects, engage various stakeholders and the community for a variety of priority landscape and threatened species projects and programs throughout the region. 

About the Role

As part of a multi-disciplinary, dynamic and regionally dispersed team you will:

  • Provide timely, effective and high-quality frontline advisory and extension services to rural landholders and stakeholders partners and industry groups
  • Engage with landholders to design natural resource management projects
  • Collaborate and engage with natural resource management stakeholders and agency staff
  • Collect and collate data, analyse information and provide accurate and appropriately balanced advice, reports and recommendations on natural resource management
  • Manage project delivery schedules, finances, outputs, reporting and client relationships
  • Monitor, evaluate, report and improve on project design and delivery and contribute to strategic planning.

About You

Preferably, you’ll have the following skills/experience:

  • A degree in agriculture, environmental science or natural resource management. Alternatively, you’ll have an equivalent level of natural resource management / agricultural industry knowledge and experience
  • Technical skills and experience in a field of natural resource management, and knowledge of issues impacting landscapes and threatened species
  • The ability to work closely with and understand the needs of both landholders and industries
  • The capacity to understand legislation and policy as it relates to environmental markets and natural capital initiatives
  • Demonstrated project management experience combined with proven relationship management and partnership development
  • Sound prioritisation skills when managing conflicting goals and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and agency staff
  • A positive and solution focused attitude with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems for both yourself and others as they arise.

As an essential requirement of the role, you’ll also need to have a current NSW Driver Licence, and the capacity and willingness to travel throughout North Coast NSW as required.
