About the Role
The Farm Manager is responsible for strategically managing and overseeing all operational farming activities. The role demonstrates best practice management techniques, facilitates research projects and trials, delivers commercial production outcomes, and maintains a strong connection with local industry partners.
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Ability to plan and manage all farm operations, including cropping, livestock programs, and resource management effectively.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of staff and contractors to ensure compliance with departmental standards.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to develop and implement operational plans.
- Strong skills in developing and managing farm budgets and records, along with marketing farm produce effectively, while providing analysis and reporting on operational activities.
- Qualifications in accordance with Part 2 (xviii) of the Crown Employees (Department of Industry) Technical Staff Award
- Demonstrated experience in cropping and pasture management systems
- Valid driver’s licence
