The Opportunity
We're seeking a Community Engagement Officer for our Northwest Local Land Services location. Your primary mission is to play a key support role within LLS Regions, to inform, consult, collaborate and empower grassroots community participation in LLS programs. The role will be responsible for helping to design and deliver regional community engagement, social impact and experiential event programs.

About the Role
As a Community Engagement Officer you will help plan, build, execute and review a variety of community awareness, education, consultation and social impact initiatives and experiential activities at the local level. This includes assisting regional LLS staff to incorporate effective community engagement as part of their planning.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and local community stakeholders to enhance partnership and participation opportunities across the region, including identifying opportunities to build local influencer programs.
- Coordinate a forward- planned community engagement events calendar, ensuring alignment to the Region’s Local Strategic Plan, annual business plan and LLS strategic engagement approach.
- Assist Regional LLS staff with coordinating and attending community events and engagement sessions and promotion of events.
- Provide local end-to-end event management support to frontline regional business units, assisting in the preparation and logistics of a range of (in person/digital) events for the organisation including webinars, community build activations, workshops, forums, roadshows, experiential and pop -up events.
- Maintain databases, documentation and reports relevant to community engagement, social impact initiatives, and experiential events.
- Coordinate and deliver special community engagement projects as required
Essential Requirements:
- Current NSW Driver License and the ability and willingness to travel
