  • Clerk Grade 7/8 salary from $110K to $122K pa + super
  • Clerk Grade 9/10 salary from $125K to $138K pa + super

The Assessments and Systems branch within NSW Resources are looking to establish a talent pool of skilled and motivated individuals for the roles of Assistant Project Officer, Project Officer, and Senior Project Officer.

We're looking for efficient and proactive people to join our team and help deliver customer focused best practice in the administration and management of safe and sustainable exploration and mining in NSW. As a Project Officer within NSW Resources (no matter the grade), you’ll play a crucial role in the delivery of projects with an ongoing business improvement focus including supporting efficient and robust assessment processes against statutory frameworks to promote resource discovery, development, and ecological sustainability.

With roles covering a range of areas, working with us means you’ll be able to find a role that suits your skills and interests with the variety of projects and work on offer including:

  1. Projects with a business improvement focus ensuring high levels of customer service, efficiency and compliance with appropriate statutory frameworks.
  2. Assessment of exploration and mining title applications ensuring high levels of customer service and robust assessments.
  3. Ensuring transparent reporting processes and meeting of service delivery standards (KPIs).
  4. Supporting opal mining stakeholders through mineral claim applications, robust determinations and change management due to future reforms.
  5. Systems and spatial team roles, all contributing to the accurate and efficient management of exploration and mining titles in NSW.
  6. Facilitating the delivery of business operations which includes the collection of revenue and administration of funds.

  • A problem solver: With excellent attention to detail, the ability to analyse and interpret policy and legislation and the ability to manage and oversee complex requests and projects.
