About the Role

The Principal Change Manager, ICT leads strategic and operational change across a portfolio of digital and technology initiatives. Reporting directly to the CIO, you are a key member of the ICT leadership team and operate with significant autonomy in a small, high-performing group. You are responsible for ensuring that ICT-driven change is successfully adopted, risks are managed, and business continuity is maintained.

Your role brings together people, processes, and technology to deliver meaningful outcomes across the department. You provide strategic guidance to both major programs and day-to-day initiatives, ensuring engagement, awareness, and alignment with business needs.

Key responsibilities include raising awareness of cyber security and data risks, delivering digital capability uplift programs for staff, and co-ordinating both digital and face-to-face engagement on behalf of the wider ICT team. You are also the key contact for keeping stakeholders informed of ICT changes, service issues, and outages, acting as a visible and influential representative of the ICT function across the department.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a self-driven change professional comfortable operating with high visibility and autonomy in a dynamic ICT environment.

About You

You are a seasoned Senior Change Manager with a strong track record of leading user-centric change across complex ICT environments. A natural leader with a people-first mindset and a can-do attitude, you build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels. You quickly engage with subject matter experts to understand technical processes and translate them into meaningful impacts from a user perspective.

You thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments and work confidently across business units, vendors, and ICT professionals. You apply structured change methodologies, including ADKAR, to drive adoption and embed lasting change. You lead multiple initiatives simultaneously, communicate strategy with clarity, and are recognised as a trusted, visible leader across ICT and the broader department.
