- Clerk Grade 11/12 – Salary from $149,739 up to 173,174 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading
About the Role
The Program Leader Resource Management leads innovative fisheries programs with a focus on developing harvest strategies and supporting the annual quota determination process, driving policy and planning for sustainable resource management. The role provides expert advice, represents the department to stakeholders, and develops strategic initiatives to improve the industry while navigating complex and politically sensitive issues.
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in fisheries science or natural resource management, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing natural resource policies.
- Expertise in strategic planning and governance for sustainable fisheries including harvest strategy development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage innovative programs to meet legislative and stakeholder objectives.
- Strong skills in engaging with stakeholders and representing the department at high-level forums.
- Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
