About the Role
As the Manager Strategic Finance, you will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, ensuring alignment with NSW Treasury requirements and long-term strategic objectives. This role works closely with executives and business leaders, providing analytical insights and forward-looking financial modelling to guide decision-making, optimise resource allocation, and support sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes across the Agriculture and Biosecurity Group.
- Provide robust financial and metrics reporting, ensuring executives and functional leaders have the insights they need for decision-making.
- Deliver detailed analyses of revenues, expenses, and performance trends to drive operational efficiency and forward planning.
- Partner with NSW Treasury on budget submissions, forward estimates, and reporting requirements.
- Support and deliver cross-functional strategic and operational projects, independently and in collaboration with business leaders.
- Prepare high-quality briefings, reports, and Ministerial correspondence to support the effective operation of the Authority.
About You
You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and proven experience in finance leadership, capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels. Your key attributes include:
- Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
- Ability to provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including preparing executive-level briefings.
- Experience leading projects and working collaboratively across teams.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in finance, economics or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Current NSW Drivers Licence and the ability and willingness to travel
