About the Role

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development Agriculture and Biosecurity branch, are seeking a Site Manager to join them.

Your role will manage all operational aspects of the agricultural research site, from infrastructure and resources to budgeting and stakeholder relations. You will focus on supporting research outcomes while ensuring the site's commercial sustainability.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Degree in a relevant agricultural or business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage agricultural operations, including infrastructure, resources, and personnel.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and business planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans for a research or commercial site.
  • Experience in commercial marketing and sales of agricultural produce to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Ability and willingness to live on-site. A house is provided at a subsidised rent.
  • Ability to travel for work purposes.
