About the Opportunity
The Strategic Finance Unit provides essential financial management and advisory services across the Agriculture & Biosecurity Group (AgBio), supporting its Divisions, Branches, and associated statutory entities. This role is critical to maintaining the continuity and integrity of these services, ensuring seamless financial operations, and supporting effective decision-making across the Group.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to lead financial advisory services, drive strong financial performance, and support senior leaders in planning and delivering effective business outcomes across AgBio.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of high-quality financial management and strategic advisory support.

  • Manage the development of budgets, forecasts, business plans, and financial reporting.
  • Provide clear, insightful financial analysis and advice to executive and business leaders.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and coordinate responses to audit requirements.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve financial performance, efficiency, and commercial capability.
  • Build effective working relationships and coach non-finance stakeholders to improve financial understanding and decision-making.

About You
We are looking for someone who:

  • Brings strong financial analysis, budgeting, and business partnering experience.
  • Can confidently engage with and influence senior internal stakeholders.
  • Has the ability to communicate financial concepts in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Works collaboratively and builds positive, productive relationships.
  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications
