  • Salary from $113, 574 to $125,720 pa + superannuation + leave entitlements (Clerk Grade 7/8)

About the Role

Lead and support project administration activities that ensure effective project and financial management across the Agriculture & Biosecurity's diverse portfolio. This role plays a key part in enabling successful project delivery by maintaining strong governance, supporting informed decision-making, and fostering collaborative stakeholder relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide comprehensive project administration and support, including proposal development, preparing and execution of contract documents, preparing briefs, maintaining documentation, and monitoring project plans and financial obligations.
  • Manage project change requests and ensure compliance with Financial and Project Governance Frameworks.
  • Maintain open communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to support decision-making and information sharing.
  • Deliver training and support to project teams on corporate project, portfolio, and financial management systems.
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to support project planning and delivery aligned with project timelines, priorities, and budgets.
  • Coordinate information exchange with stakeholders to ensure delivery of project obligations.

About You

You are a proactive and organised project administration professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • You can build strong relationships, communicate confidently, and work collaboratively to support successful project outcomes.
  • Have an understanding of governance frameworks and passion for continuous improvement will contribute to delivering best-practice project management across the Department.
  • Strong skills in project coordination and administration
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with project management systems and financial processes
  • A collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Expertise in using Departmental systems: MyWorkzone, MyOutcomes and Content Manager
