- Clerk Grade 9/10 – Salary from $129,464 to $142,665 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading
About the Role
The Executive Officer Boards and Committees provides high-level executive, secretariat and project support to the DPIRD Executive in relation to Boards and Trusts connected to NSW agriculture that support excellence in research and innovation for cropping and livestock genetics, agricultural education and agricultural heritage, as well as the operational management of the historic complex known as Belgenny Farm located in Camden NSW.
The role is responsible for stakeholder engagement and coordinating timely delivery of services to effectively support NSW DPIRD Boards and advisory committees, including the CB Alexander Foundation, Farrer Memorial Trust and Helen Newton Turner Trust.
The position also acts as the liaison between the Rice Marketing Board for the State of NSW and the Riverina Wine Grapes Marketing Board (coordinated through DPIRD) to the Minister.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Implementing, monitoring and reporting on strategic, operational and project plans to support informed decision making and achievement of Board & Trust objectives
- Researching and preparing high quality strategic advice, briefings and reports on complex policy, planning and operational matters
- Providing leadership and support for financial management, monitoring and reporting ensuring compliance and audit obligations are met.
- Coordinating, reviewing and under the development and submission of a range of strategic and operational documents
- Effectively and proactively support the management of relationships between the Executive, Board and Committee Chairs
About You
You will be a highly motivated professional with proven project and people management experience. You will have the ability to manage senior stakeholder and client relationships. You will be a strong and confident communicator and can manage competing priorities and interests while maintaining a professional demeanour and ‘can do’ attitude.
