We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Financial System Administrator to support the effective operation of the Department’s financial reporting environment.
About the role
The Financial Systems Administrator role provides a vital function within the Finance Control & Analysis team. You will support the day-to-day work of the Financial Business Analyst and Senior Financial Business Analyst, while taking responsibility for core financial administrative tasks such as processing invoices for payment and assisting with the management of purchase orders. Your work helps ensure accurate financial information flows through the organisation and that business areas receive high-quality support.
You will also contribute to the ongoing maintenance and reporting requirements of MyOutcomes, DPIRD’s financial and business reporting tool (based on the Calumo platform). This includes coordinating monthly reporting timetables, maintaining financial structures, resolving system queries, and generating accurate financial data to meet business needs.
What you’ll do
- Act as the first point of contact for MyOutcomes system queries, escalating support requests as needed
- Maintain reporting structures and financial frameworks within the system
- Support monthly reporting processes and budget cycles
- Generate accurate financial reports and assist with analysis
- Process invoices and support purchase order management
- Identify and resolve financial data anomalies
- Work collaboratively with finance teams, business managers and stakeholders to build financial capability across the organisation
What you’ll bring
- Experience with financial operations or financial reporting systems in a large organisation
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
- A customer-focused approach to supporting system users
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of public sector financial policies (or a willingness to learn)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
