  • Technical Officer Grade 1/3 – Salary from $75,728 up to $116,969 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience, as outlined in the Crown Employees (Department of Industry) Technical Staff Award and the Technical Staff Merit Progression Guidelines.

About the Role
Your role as Technical Officer Soils will provide vital technical support to NSW soil Research and Development programs by conducting field trials in diverse environments and performing precise laboratory analysis. You will manage data collection, maintain scientific equipment, and support experiments that drive agricultural productivity and sustainability.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Qualifications in accordance with Part 2(xvii) of the Crown Employees (Department of Industry) Technical Staff Award
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of field-based trials, under all environmental conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical support across field, laboratory, and glasshouse research environments
  • Experience in operating and maintaining scientific instruments to ensure the delivery of precise and reliable research results
  • Experience in operating and maintaining farm machinery, including cotton pickers
  • A medium-rigid truck license or demonstrated ability to obtain one.

Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
