  • Ongoing Full Time, 35 hours per week
  • Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally., with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour
  • Professional Officer Grade 5 – Salary from $149,739 up to $152,730 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience, as outlined in the Crown Employees (Department of Regional NSW) Professional Officers Award and the Professional Officer Progression Criteria (1-4)

About the Role
As the Project Manager Vulnerability Assessment, you’ll lead the research and coordination of vital assessments to see how climate change impacts NSW’s primary industries. You’ll be the bridge between complex data and real-world action, translating climate and agricultural datasets into clear insights that shape government policy and industry decisions. You’ll utilise your strong academic grounding in agricultural production systems and the communication skills to turn technical modelling into meaningful stakeholder engagement, providing the evidence needed to help our agricultural communities adapt and thrive in a changing environment.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Degree in Science, Agriculture, Climatology, or a related discipline.
  • Deep knowledge of agricultural production systems and climate vulnerability.
  • Advanced skills in analysing and interpreting complex climate datasets.
  • Proven ability to translate technical data into clear, high-level advice.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and diverse stakeholder networks.
