As a Project Officer, you’ll provide high-quality coordination and administrative support across project planning, delivery and reporting. Working closely with the Project Manager and delivery teams, you’ll help keep schedules, governance and communications on track, so the project can meet key milestones and deliver outcomes.

About the Team

Local Land Services (LLS) is a regionally focused NSW Government agency delivering services to landholders and communities across New South Wales. LLS supports agriculture, biosecurity, natural resource management and emergency services.

 

The role sits within the Digital and Data team, supporting the delivery of a business‑critical CRM program within a complex organisational environment.

 

Your day‑to‑day duties

  • Support the Project Manager with day-to-day coordination across planning, delivery and reporting
  • Maintain project registers (risks, issues, actions, decisions, dependencies) and keep records audit-ready
  • Coordinate meetings and workshops, agendas, minutes, actions and follow-ups
  • Prepare and contribute to status reports, briefings and governance packs for leadership and steering forums
  • Support delivery activities with ICT teams and vendors (e.g. planning, testing coordination, training readiness and go-live support)
  • Maintain key project artefacts (plans, schedules, RAID logs, communications and implementation materials)
  • Track milestones and deliverables and proactively follow up actions to keep work moving

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience supporting projects (or programs) through strong coordination, documentation and follow-through
  • Confidence working with governance processes and maintaining registers (risks, issues, actions, decisions and dependencies)
  • Strong written communication skills, ability to draft clear minutes, briefs, updates and project artefacts
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a delivery environment
  • Stakeholder skills to work effectively with business SMEs, technical teams and external suppliers
  • Essential: experience with collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, Jira) 
  • Experience supporting digital/ICT delivery and/or CRM projects (e.g., Salesforce) is desirable, not essential
