About the role
The Manager Business Advisory takes the lead role in providing business and financial advisory services for assigned divisions, including internal budgeting and forecasting, labour analytics, capital reporting and planning, divisional management reporting, business case development and development of risk and savings plans.
We are looking for an individual who can:
- Lead the development, management and monitoring of Group and Division operating and capital budgets, financial forecasts and forward estimates, ensuring compliance with budget parameters, financial requirements and approved commitments.
- Provide timely, high quality performance reporting and expert financial analysis, including interpretation of financial results, initiatives and projects, to support informed executive and senior management decision making.
- Partner with groups and divisions at a senior level to develop and implement strategies to identify key and emerging risks, manage financial performance and budget variances, including providing advice on commercial viability and impacts on the net cost of services.
- Deliver strategic business and financial advisory services to management, identifying key drivers affecting financial and budgetary performance across Groups and Divisions, branches and cost centres, and supporting the setting, monitoring and achievement of savings and efficiency targets.
- Review and critically assess business cases and funding submissions, providing evidence-based recommendations on funding allocation, prioritisation and value for money.
- Lead collaboration with Enabling Services teams to establish, maintain and improve financial management frameworks, systems and controls, and to undertake financial and business reviews that strengthen governance, internal processes and financial sustainability.
- Identify, lead and deliver finance and business improvement initiatives in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, building organisational capability and improving financial and operational performance in support of people and business objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in senior finance roles.
- Ability to work with Senior Executives to develop business cases, budgets, and forecasts.
- Confidence in preparing insightful reports and presenting information to Senior Executives.
