- Temporary full time up to 2 years
- 35 hours per week
- Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour
- Salary from $113,574 to $125,720 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading (Clerk Grade 7/8)
- Hybrid working arrangements can be supported for the right candidate.
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Officer to join the Farm Business Resilience Program within Agriculture & Biosecurity. FBRP is jointly funded by the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund and the NSW Government. The program supports NSW farmers to prepare for, manage and recover from drought by building practical skills in business planning, risk management and decision-making.
This new role will support drought coordination activities within the Climate and Natural Resources Division, including coordination of initiatives aligned with the Farm Business Resilience Program (FBRP). The role will work across internal agencies including DPIRD and Local Land Services, as well as support integration and collaboration across the NSW Government.
About You
To be successful, you must hold
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline including primary production/agricultural or community engagement/development, government relations or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and ability and willingness to travel.

- You must be willing and able to undertake travel to support drought-related activities as required.
