As Manager, Safety, you will lead a team of professionals to embed a proactive safety culture, deliver system-wide improvements, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation—making a real impact on the wellbeing of our people and communities.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the implementation and continuous improvement of workplace health and safety practices across the organisation.

You will:

• Lead and develop a team of safety specialists to deliver high-quality advice and support to leaders
• Drive the effective implementation of the WHS Management System and ensure legislative compliance
• Oversee incident and hazard management systems, ensuring integrity, timely reporting and continuous improvement
• Use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities for proactive interventions
• Partner across the organisation to embed accountability and integrate WHS into business planning and decision-making
• Provide assurance on the effectiveness of WHS systems, controls and processes

This role is key to enabling a consistent and effective approach to safety across a complex operational environment. You will influence senior leaders, strengthen capability, and help build a culture where safety and wellbeing are prioritised every day.

About you

You are an experienced safety leader with strong strategic and operational capability. You thrive on influencing others, solving complex problems and leading change.

You will demonstrate:

• Extensive knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and Australian standards
• Proven experience leading and coaching geographically dispersed teams
• Strong analytical capability with experience leveraging data to drive improvements
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cultural change
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Essential requirements

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
• Lead ICAM Investigator and Lead Auditor qualifications
• Demonstrated experience across diverse industries and operational environments
