  • Temporary up to 2 years 

  • Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour 

  • Departmental Officer Grade 7/8 – Salary from $113,574 - $125,720 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading 

About the Role 
Join a small, supporting team ensuring SCS employees have the skills and training to operate a commercial business delivery soil and erosion projects across NSW. 

As the Business Performance Coordinator – Learning and Development, you will lead a small team responsible for coordinating essential workforce training.  You will oversee training records, external certifications and provider engagement, ensuring our operational workforce remains appropriately skilled and complaint. 

You will also contribute to the development of learning strategies aligned to business needs by identifying capability gaps and partnering with stakeholders, developing practical, fit-for-purpose learning solutions.  This role combines operational training oversight and coordination with strategic workforce development, requiring both strong coordination skills and the ability to design and deliver engaging learning programs across both digital and face-to-face environments. 

About You 
As our ideal candidate, you will have: 

  • Experience leading teams delivering compliance and operational training 

  • Proven ability to design and delivery blended learning programs  

  • Experience developing eLearning content (SCORM or similar) and working with LMS platforms 

  • Strong understanding of workforce capability development in operational or project based environments 

  • Experience managing end-to-end training coordination, including external providers and certifications  

  • Ability to partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs and implement solutions 

  • A proactive, continuous improvement mindset 

  • Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
