About the Role
As Manager Funds and Levies within NSW Resources, you will lead the transparent and effective administration of critical financial frameworks that underpin the mining and resources sector in NSW. This maternity cover opportunity places you at the centre of financial governance, where you will oversee the management of levies, fees, funds and security deposits to ensure strong accountability, compliance and value for the community. You will design and enhance frameworks that support accurate financial reporting, risk management and sustainable outcomes across a complex regulatory environment.
In this leadership role, you will guide a high performing team while working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen governance practices and financial integrity. You will drive continuous improvement across systems and processes, ensuring that funds are managed with precision, transparency and in line with legislative requirements. About You
We are seeking a strategic and values driven leader with strong experience in financial management, governance and team development within complex environments. You bring a clear focus on accountability and continuous improvement, with the ability to translate financial insights into practical actions that strengthen organisational performance. You are confident leading people, building capability and fostering a culture of integrity and collaboration.
As our ideal candidate, you will bring:
- Proven experience in financial management, governance frameworks and regulatory compliance
- Strong ability to oversee and improve financial processes including reconciliation, reporting and risk management
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience developing, mentoring and empowering teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in complex and evolving environments
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships across government and industry
- Sound judgement with the ability to provide clear, evidence-based advice to senior decision makers
- Commitment to driving transparency, accountability and continuous improvement in financial and operational practices
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in a related discipline such as Financial Management or Business
- Compliance with pre-employment probity screening is mandatory and a condition of engagement
