About the Role

The Project and Program Officer will provide specialist planning capability to support Agriculture and Animal Services Functional Area (AASFA) operations, ensuring continuity, accountability, and effective coordination during and in preparedness for emergencies.

Your day to day may include: 

• Coordinate and support projects and programs, including planning, documentation, logistics and reporting. 
• Develop, manage and deliver major projects and state-wide programs aligned with LLS priorities. 
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective engagement, communication and reporting. 
• Contribute to project monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of delivery practices and systems. 
• Help ensure projects and programs are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected quality. 

What We’re Looking For 

We’re keen to connect with people that can demonstrate;

• Experience supporting or delivering complex programs or projects
• Exceptional communication skills and who can work with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• An understanding of the value of customer-focused service delivery in the public sector
• A strong background in emergency management planning roles
• Proficiency in WebEOC, especially for emergency responses
• Knowledge of planning, finance and logistics coordination
• Understanding of emergency management governance arrangements
• Strong skills in problem-solving, collaboration, prioritisation, and accountability
• An ability to work effectively in fast-moving operational environments

You’ll also bring: 

• Relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience. 
• Strong writing, reporting and organisational skills. 
• A solid grasp of project management practices and documentation. 
• A desire to contribute to better outcomes for NSW’s rural industries and communities.
