About the Role
As Project Officer Threatened Species, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of projects that contribute to the management of aquatic threatened species in NSW. You will help prepare project reports, briefs, correspondence and other written materials, while supporting stakeholder communication and maintaining accurate records. The role also provides secretariat support to the NSW Fisheries Scientific Committee, helping coordinate meetings, responses, enquiries and statutory processes. This is a great opportunity to use your project support, communication and organisational skills in work that contributes to important environmental and fisheries outcomes.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Experience supporting projects, programs or business activities in a busy work environment.
  • Strong written communication skills, including briefs, reports and correspondence.
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders and building cooperative relationships.
  • Sound judgement, professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Good attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records.
  • An interest in aquatic ecology, biodiversity or threatened species management.
