The role
The Workshop Facilitator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals with dementia by focusing on capability and capacity building.
This position involves designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programmes and training initiatives for staff, caregivers, and other stakeholders involved in dementia care. The goal is to equip the team with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to deliver exceptional, relationship-based care and to foster a supportive and enabling environment.
This role is offered as a Fixed Term Contract until July 2028. This role is based out of our Malvern Office.

What do we need from you?
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- A minimum of two years demonstrated experience in the delivery of programmes in a face-to-face setting and online
- Proven experience in training and education, ideally within a health care or residential care setting
- Dynamic personality with the ability to engage audiences quickly with strong rapport building skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong learning agility
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with training technologies and software.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Current Australian driver’s licence with safe driving record and willingness to travel intra and interstate
Desirable
- Understanding of dementia care principles, person-centered care, and relationship based approaches
- Certification or specialised training in dementia care or gerontology
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Health/Allied Health & Education
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift and move training materials and equipment.
- Capacity to work in a variety of settings, including office environments and residential care areas.
