About the role
The Information Technology (IT) function is seen as an important enabler to the achievement of HammondCare’s mmission. This is driven by the requirement of the organisation to meet the changing needs of people with complex health or aged care needs and our employees within a growing geographically diverse organisation and across a continuum of care.
The role of Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst ensures HammondCare gets the best value from its investment in business systems.
This is a 6 month contract role based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities. The successful candidate must be able to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities include
- Business Requirements Gathering: Engaging with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translating them into technical specifications for data analysis.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gathering data from various sources, including databases, external data sources, and analysing it to identify trends and insights.
- Reporting: Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders, ensuring that the information is clear and accessible.
- Data Visualization: Utilising data visualization tools (PowerBI) to present data in a visually appealing and understandable manner, helping stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data by implementing data quality checks and validation processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in BI and analytics, and recommending improvements to existing processes and tools.
- Training and Support: Providing training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports, ensuring they can effectively utilize the data available to them.
About You
- You must be able to start work immediately and have working rights in Australia.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role with strong technical background in business intelligence and data analytics, with good ingestion skills, and hands-on experience in developing comprehensive reporting solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
- Proven experience as an end-to-end Power BI Dataset Modelling, plus premium features such as Pipeline Deployment.
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts and SQL.
- Practical experience with database systems, SQL queries and dimensional data modelling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable
- insights.
- You'll be inquisitive by nature with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality BI projects

Desirable:
- Experience with SSIS, Microsoft Fabric Data Pipeline, ADF, or similar ETL tools.
- Post graduate qualifications in business administration or technology discipline.
- Professional certifications in areas of business analysis, data architecture, ITIL, analytics or related accreditations demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Epicor and Workday will be highly regarded.
