HammondCare is currently looking for a Permanent, Full-Time Head of Allied Health – Residential Care, to join our team.

As the Head of Allied Health – Residential Care, you will work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Allied Health is delivered through various teams, across several New South Wales and Victorian sites. You will ensure HammondCare’s expertise in Dementia and Palliative Care is delivered while also striving towards meeting Aged Care Quality standards.

· The residential care portfolio strives to deliver tailored and responsive care at a premium level, with a model of care that is purposely differentiated from other aged care providers and ensures the resident is at the core of everything we do. The role of Head of Allied Health – Residential Care works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to deliver allied health services that contributes to the delivery of this differentiated model of care and leads a culture of empowerment to achieve this. The role provides oversight and leadership of allied health services regarding strategic direction, service delivery, staff performance and quality improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Must have current, unrestricted AHPRA registration - you need to be able to actively supervise
  • Experience in Aged Care, ideally with a background clinical leadership
  • Dementia and Palliative Care experience, ideally in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
  • Experience delivering Service and Strategic development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HammondCare’s Model of Care and proven ability to operationalise this approach.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
