You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the hype.

The Reject Shop is now part of global retail giant Dollarama, and we’re building something big.

2026 is shaping up to be a game-changer. With our store network expanding, our customer experience evolving, and our footprint growing towards 700 stores, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes. Our Merchandise team plays a critical role in ensuring the right products are available at the right time, and we're looking for a Buying Assistant to help support our growing business.

This role is ideal for a highly organised administrator who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You'll work closely with our Buyers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support the end-to-end buying process, ensuring product information, purchase orders, and supplier communications are managed accurately and efficiently. If you're detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoy working in a busy support role, this could be your next opportunity.

This role is based in our Kensington Store Support Centre.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting Buyers with the day-to-day administration of product ranges and supplier management.
  • Creating and maintaining purchase orders using SAP and internal systems.
  • Setting up new product lines and ensuring product information is accurate and up to date.
  • Responding to supplier and Distribution Centre queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaising with key internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintaining buying documentation, reports, and records using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations and business updates using PowerPoint.
  • Monitoring and updating product and supplier data to ensure accuracy across systems.
  • Providing administrative support across the buying function to help deliver key commercial objectives.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as required.

What you'll bring

  • Previous experience as a Buying Assistant, or similar role.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manage and maintain large volumes of data accurately.
  • Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • Retail or merchandise experience will be highly regarded.

Why join us?

  • Be part of an exciting growth journey as we expand towards 700 stores.
  • Work within a collaborative, high-performing Merchandise team.
  • Enjoy a flat, fast-paced environment where your ideas and contributions make an impact.
  • Hybrid work model.
  • Team Member discount of 15% for you and an immediate family member.
  • Paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers.
  • Employee Assistance Program – free and confidential support for you and your family.
  • Career development opportunities within a growing national retailer backed by a global retail leader.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career within a growing retail business while gaining exposure to a fast-moving merchandise function. If you're highly organised, enjoy supporting others, and take pride in delivering accurate and efficient work, we'd love to hear from you.
