You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the hype. The Reject Shop is now part of global retail giant Dollarama, and we’re building something big.

2026 is shaping up to be a defining year for our business. With our store network expanding, our customer experience evolving, and our ambition to grow towards 700 stores, the technology supporting our business has never been more important.

Behind every checkout, every distribution centre, and every team member is a resilient, secure, and high-performing technology environment. As our business continues to grow, so does our investment in cyber security, ensuring our systems, networks, and information remain protected.

We’re looking for a Cyber SOC Analyst to join our Technology team at our Store Support Centre in Melbourne. Reporting to our Cyber Security leadership team, this role will play an important part in investigating and responding to cyber security incidents across our Australian environment, working closely with our global teams in Canada.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced cyber professional who enjoys problem-solving, investigating suspicious activity, and getting to the bottom of complex technical issues. You'll work alongside an established Security Operations Centre (SOC), taking ownership of incidents that require deeper investigation, identifying patterns, documenting findings, and escalating threats where required.

If you bring a strong SOC background, experience with Splunk, and a solid understanding of infrastructure and networking, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact in a growing and evolving technology environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Investigating and responding to cyber security alerts and incidents across our Australian technology environment.

  • Reviewing incidents triaged by our global Security Operations Centre (SOC), prioritising investigations based on severity and potential business impact.

  • Analysing suspicious login attempts, unusual account activity, network traffic, and other potential security threats.

  • Investigating the source and nature of security events, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate protective measures.

  • Managing and documenting cyber security incidents through ServiceNow, ensuring investigations, findings, and outcomes are clearly recorded.

  • Working with internal stakeholders and global teams in Canada to investigate, resolve, and escalate incidents where required.

  • Identifying recurring security issues and emerging patterns, helping strengthen our incident response processes and overall security posture.

  • Supporting the broader Technology team by providing cyber security expertise across infrastructure and network-related matters.

What you’ll bring

  • 3–5 years' experience in a Cyber Security, Security Operations Centre (SOC), or similar analytical role.

  • Previous hands-on SOC experience, with the ability to investigate and work through security alerts and incidents.

  • Practical experience using Splunk for security monitoring, investigation, and analysis.

  • A solid understanding of IT infrastructure and networking, with experience in one or both areas highly regarded.

  • Experience investigating suspicious user activity, authentication events, network traffic, and potential security threats.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically, investigate issues methodically, and determine appropriate next steps.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders and escalate issues when required.

  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively within a broader Technology team.

  • The confidence and curiosity to take ownership of investigations and work through unfamiliar technical challenges.

What we can offer you

  • The opportunity to join a business undergoing significant transformation as part of global retail giant Dollarama.

  • Exposure to a well-invested cyber security environment, with access to established security tools and global expertise.

  • The opportunity to work across Australian and Canadian technology environments, broadening your technical experience and knowledge.

  • A hands-on role where you can take ownership, develop your investigative capability, and make a meaningful contribution to our cyber security operations.

  • The chance to work alongside a collaborative Technology team that values problem-solving, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

This is an exciting time to join The Reject Shop. As our business continues to grow and our technology environment evolves, protecting our systems and information is critical to our success. You'll play an important role in strengthening our cyber security capability and ensuring our business remains secure, resilient, and ready for what's next.
