About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an approachable and caring Primary Classroom Teacher to join the supportive team at Cathedral Catholic Primary School in Bathurst, NSW. The teacher in a Catholic school is someone who can encourage, develop and nurture the personal, spiritual and educational growth of each and every student.

We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:

  • Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
  • Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods.
  • Using inclusive teaching strategies and adopting practices for equitable education.
  • Using appropriate assessment data to report on student progress.
  • Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.
  • Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contributing to school life.
  • Providing student supervision and assisting in organising extracurricular activities.

About You (Selection Criteria)
The new Primary Teacher will enrich the experiences of our students through contemporary teaching experience and aligning with the following selection criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW.
  • Commitment to the mission of Catholic Education.
  • A proven ability to create an engaging classroom environment.
  • A proven ability to support all students in attaining personal excellence in their learning.
  • A track record of implementing inclusive practices in a school setting.
  • Exceptional classroom management.
  • Ability to communicate in a warm and professional manner with families, children and staff.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Capacity to monitor and assess student learning data and to use this data to inform teaching for improved student learning.
  • A commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities.
