About the Role 

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Oberon is seeking a passionate Homework Club Supervisor to join the team, commencing Term 1, 2026. The Homework Club Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing a supportive and engaging environment for students during after-school hours. This position involves supervising students, assisting with homework, and assisting with any extracurricular activities that are organised to enhance learning experiences.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students participating in the after-school program by providing attentive supervision.
  • Assist students with their homework tasks, listening to students read, offering guidance and clarification on academic concepts as needed.
  • Support and facilitate engaging activities and projects that reinforce classroom learning and promote academic growth.
  • Maintain an organised and well-equipped space, ensuring that necessary materials and resources are readily available for students.
  • Foster a sense of independence and self-reliance among students by encouraging them to take ownership of their learning and develop effective study habits.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and school administrators to coordinate activities and support the overall goals of the Homework Club program.

About You 

We are looking for someone who can address the following criteria: 

  • Holds a Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent (desired) 
  • A valid Working with Children Check 
  • Understanding of Child Protection principles and relevant policies
  • Commitment to the mission and ethos of Catholic education 
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
