PHYSICAL PLANT MANAGER

| Under general direction, the Physical Plant Manager is responsible for work of considerable difficulty in planning, coordinating, and administering the construction, emergency response and repair, modification and maintenance of storage/industrial/administrative buildings, tanks, bridges, trestles, etc.), power distribution utilities, roads & grounds, Intrusion Detection System/Environmental Monitoring and Control systems, and the operation & maintenance of 38 miles of Installation railroad in support of the Ordnance Operations Department, a business enterprise organization located at Camp Navajo, Bellemont, AZ.
The incumbent is an integral part in the decision making process within the organization providing engineering data requiring considerable judgment with respect to the organization’s business objectives and goals including developing & managing engineering operating budgets, CIP budgets & capital equipment. The incumbent provides coordination & interacts with internal and external organizations at local, State, & Federal level to include: contractors, vendors, BNSF, CFMO, military units; procurement, Risk Management, Human Resources, other State Agencies, and Federal customers. Assumes responsibilities and provides leadership in the absence of the Program Administrator (OOD Engineer).
On a routine basis perform assigned duties while in the proximity of high explosive assets contained within the ASA.
This position is required to work within the Ammunition Storage Area (ASA) which will place the individual within the Explosives Safety Quantity Distances (ESQD) Arc of a Potential Explosion Site (PES). |

| The purpose of this position is to support range land rehabilitation and improvement projects, manage the non-military equipment, supervise inmate work crews, and provide input to planning and designs of ranges and training areas for AZ Training Center for AZ Training Center. The position is located at Florence Military Reservation (Florence, AZ) but from time to time can support PPMR (Phoenix, AZ) and Camp Navajo (Bellemont, AZ). This person will be responsible for ensuring the projects initiated through Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) are completed to State and Federal standards. The incumbent of this position reports directly to the ITAM Program Specialist in Phoenix, AZ. |
