The Finance Manager who reports directly to the Executive Director, is responsible for all aspects of the Prescott Historical Society and Shalrot Hall Museum financial operations. This includes accounting and budget, audit prep, human resources, payroll, and insurance.
The Prescott Historical Society has a beautiful 4-acre campus located in downtown Prescott and includes historic buildings, exhibits, a collection of over 40,000 objects, and a research library.
• Handle all daily business functions of the Prescott Historical and Sharlot Hall Historical Societies, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and other financial and accounting functions
• Develops and prepares the annual budgets for both Prescott and Sharlot Hall Historical Societies
• Responsible for human resource services for both organizations, including recruiting, hiring, maintaining job descriptions, processing employee onboarding, and managing employee benefits
• Compile, analyze, and report financial data to staff, executive director, and board of trustees (BOT)
• Provide advice on financial matters to the director, BOT, and staff
• Develop a working relationship with state Central Services for Human Resources and Accounting
• Serve as agency liaison to Central Services
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
Knowledge:
• Accounting principles, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Budgeting & Reporting
• Experience with a non-profit organization
• Some knowledge of HR processes
Skill:
• Quickbooks & Google Suites
• Payroll processing and laws
• Fixed Assets
• Budget & Reporting
• Spreadsheet & Word Processing
Ability:
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills
• Good organization and time management
• Good interpersonal skills
• MBA or CPA is a plus
• HR experience is preferred
• Non-profit experience is a plus
Pre-Employment Requirements: |
• Bachelor's in Accounting / Finance
• 1-5 years experience in Accounting / Finance
