Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Technical Director, set up and operate Audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, cameras, video production gear, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for concerts, meetings, and conventions, presentations, and other events as needed. Theatrical lighting equipment and systems for events. Provide additional technical support for PAC activities and other agency activities. Assist with facility maintenance. The position will be responsible for some or all of the listed duties and/or additional duties that occur from time to time

This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).
OR
This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (# days per week in the office/hoteling).
OR
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Ensure the safe technical operations of theater equipment and facility
Install, operate, and maintain equipment, materials, tools, and supplies used in technical production
Evaluate equipment needs and notify the Theater Technical Director of the need to repair or replace equipment
Troubleshoot theater equipment problems

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit
Principles and practices of administration and management
Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures DEMONSTRATED SKILL/ABILITY TO: THEATER TECHNICIAN
Knowledge of stage rigging and operation of sound and lighting systems
Knowledge of maintenance, installation and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment used in stage production
Knowledge of video production systems
Knowledge and utilization of proper safety practices and procedures

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Must be able to pass FBI and State background check or Fingerprint Clearance Card as position requires by policy or Statute
Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel that drive on State business THEATER TECHNICIAN
