GRANTS SPECIALIST

Hourly Pay Range: $26.97 - $37.76

This position will remain open until filled
Under the direction of the Grant Manager performs grant coordination work of considerable difficulty in the following areas:
• Collaborates with agency staff with grant application preparation and serves as the office of responsibility for grant applications submitted through web-based systems or other methods as required
• Monitors awarded grants to ensure compliance with Federal and other programmatic and financial requirements
• Notifies agency administration and staff regarding the availability and suitability of relevant grants
• Monitors legislative and regulatory issues pertaining to Federal funding and other grant funding
• Maintains centralized grant files in compliance with records retention requirements
• Prepares ongoing grant activity/status reports, ad hoc and period grant reports
• Provide ongoing administrative support for statewide grant initiatives
• Prepares ongoing reports of activities and status of grant programs
• Researches grant funding security opportunities
• Performs duties appropriate to the assignment
Administrative
• Performs a variety of complex tasks for an executive, administrator or program manager including grant funding security research, special projects, assist budget preparation and control, planning and report preparation as needed
• Provide support for documentation, forms and report completion for the Arizona Board of Nursing
• Composes correspondence on a wide variety of subjects
• Maintains updates forms and files as needed
Meetings/Event Tasks
• Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information pertinent to the grant functions
• Prepares for and coordinates meetings and events
• Drafts agendas and minutes for meetings
Reporting
• Monitors awarded grants to ensure compliance with Federal and other programmatic and financial requirements
• Collaborate with grant partners and vendors on data collection/analytics for grant submission requirements
• Prepares a variety of ongoing reports of activities and status of grant programs
Communication
• Communicate with consultants, staff, vendors, grant partners and hospitals/clinics throughout the project life cycle
• May represent AZBN staff at recipient site visits
Funding Research/Writing
• Prepares grant applications for team review
• Identifies additional grant opportunities
• Tracks grant submission process
Researches Grant Opportunities
• Collaborates with Grant manager in grant funding security research and notifies agency administration and staff regarding the availability and suitability of relevant grants
• Other duties as assigned as related to the position

Pre-Employment Requirements: |
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or equivalent
