Job Summary:

ADEQ Human Potential Office is seeking a Sr. Human Analyst to join our team. You will be joining a team of dedicated human resources professionals who love what they do! As the Sr. HR Analyst, you will work in one or more functional areas of Human Resources, specifically in Employee Relations, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Leave Administration, and Talent Acquisition/Recruitment. The ideal candidate for this role must be versatile, have a sense of urgency, the ability to multi-task and can switch gears quickly.

This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).

Job Duties:

• Coordinates and administers various aspects of Employee Relations: ensures compliance with State rules and policies, federal and state leave regulations, while providing professional instruction and guidance to state employees.
• Completes investigations into formal and informal employee complaints and other performance-related concerns.
• FMLA/ADA and leave administration; Reviews requests and documentation, researches to determine appropriate resolution.
• Develops and implements in the full-cycle recruitment process (Job posting, sourcing, resume review, references and job offers).
• Attends job fairs and networking events throughout the State to promote ADEQ positions and branding.
• Supporting in areas of Modified Duty, Workers Compensation and Risk Management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

• Excellent oral and written communication skill; strong interpersonal, phone and customer service skills.
• Knowledge: Researching and compiling information
• Ability: Perform research, collect and analyze data and reports information
• Ability: Negotiate and apply reason persuasively to resolve employee relation issues.
• Representative in meetings, workgroups, and committees

Selective Preference(s):

• Bachelor's in Human Resources, Business Administration, Personnel Management or Any combination of training and experience that meet the knowledge, skills, abilities.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an intermediate human resources analyst or equivalent experience.
• Professional HR Certification, a plus.
