This position will work with the GIS Lead within the AMA Establishment team to create GIS maps for Irrigation Grandfathered Rights, conduct analyses, and provide technical support associated with the Active Management Areas (AMA) section's GIS needs. This will include spatial analyses, research, clearly summarizing water resource-related information in reports and documents, creating clear and aesthetically pleasing maps, and assisting with customer service requests.
The ideal candidate will be excited about using GIS tools to address natural resources challenges, will thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting demands, will be curious and creative in solving problems, and will be able to effectively collaborate with team members across multiple AMA programs.
Hybrid work schedule (some work in the office and some work from home) is available for this position.

Preferred candidate should have four(4) years of water resources experience, or bachelor's degree and two(2) years of related experience or master's degree.
Candidate should have GIS, ESRI ArcPro and/or cartographic experience.
