Job Summary:

Responsible for state authorization and compliance with the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) ( ARS 8-548 et seq.) Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of the state's ICPC actions. Specific program components include the interstate placement of dependent children in residential facilities, relative homes, foster homes, parent's homes, and adoptive homes. This responsibilities involve both children moving out of state and moving into the state.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:
  • Review and process ICPC referrals for placement both incoming and outgoing the State of Arizona. Make decisions regarding the assessments of the potential placements and provide signed approval/denial.
  • Monitor case actions, progress and compliance with interstate agreements. Take necessary supervisory and coordinating action to assure compliance.
  • Utilize various digital means of communication including email and the Nation Electronic Interstate Compact Enterprise (NEICE) in order to inform required parties of approvals, denials, updates, and compliance concerns.
  • Provide assistance regarding ICPC compliance to attorneys, child welfare agency staff, and DCS case managers/ supervisors/ administrators.
  • Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Must be able to secure and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Must be able to secure and maintain clearance from DCS Central Registry.

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements.
