The Corrective Action Program Unit is responsible for regulating the investigation and cleanup of petroleum releases from leaking underground storage tanks (USTs) in Arizona. This work strongly aligns to ADEQ’s mission/vision to protect and enhance public health and the environment.
The Program Manager is responsible for supervising up to 12 staff and overseeing the preapproval and state lead programs. Staff are responsible for managing leaking UST cases and reviewing regulatory reports.
All ADEQ management positions champion continuous improvement projects within the unit and recommend and implement programs or operational improvements; assist in the development of goals and strategies; develop policies and procedures related to environmental inspections, enforcement, compliance, and/or scientific studies; and are involved in the most complex or high-profile projects or assignments.
The preferred candidate will have experience in environmental investigation, cleanup and staff supervision.
This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).
