PENSION CALCULATIONS SPECIALIST – TIER 1

Compensation: $17.98/hr. + Excellent Benefits and work/life balance (no nights, no weekends, teleworking available)

We are looking for an organized and reliable person who has great attention to detail to support the Member Benefits team by processing disbursement applications and completing data entry in an automated work-flow system. This is a back office role and does not have face to face interactions with members.
- Review documents for authenticity and completeness
- Ensure the accuracy of data in the disbursement system
- Provide information to members, beneficiaries, and related parties via written correspondence
- Utilize various computer programs and databases to retrieve and evaluate financial transactions
- Research, analyze and verify information relating to benefit payments and member accounts
- Maintain data integrity within ASRS databases
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
- Ability to learn and proficiently use automated financial/disbursement systems and databases
- Ability to analyze information and take appropriate actions
- Ability to learn and follow statutes, policies and procedures, and information systems pertaining to ASRS
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to accurately process a high volume of work and meet multiple deadlines with accuracy
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new technology platforms
- Ability to recognize inefficiencies and contribute towards improving processes
Ideal:
- 2+ years of experience with data entry and navigating database user interfaces
